Review of Carson City, Nevada

Very Unhappy in Carson City
Star Rating - 9/22/2009
There is nothing attractive to see here. Just alot of sage brush. Hey if you like the desert this is the place 4 U. I came from Northern California & I really miss being at sea level! I miss seeing anything green, the only green you will see here is a golf course. I miss Redwood trees, Oak trees, everything beautiful.
I've had nothing but problems with the elevation here, 4,500 or so. And I've developed major depression being here. Fortunately I'll be moving to a north/west state very soon.

but my point is: IT IS GREEN!!!!! Even if you cannot go there, just do a google earth or sat map. Its no Iowa cornfield in June but its a far cry from "nothing but sagebrush" or "the only green here is a golf course". AND, if it is sooooo depressing why not hop 30 minutes over to Lake Tahoe or 30 min down to pasture land of Gardnerville where it looks like a dairy cows dream land between the town and the mountain? I think someone has lost some marbles. I hope you found them Trudy. btw, its not that I love Carson City. I just dont like ridiculous comments so far off base they are either lies or nuts.

not green, yet pics search shows different and it is even on this websites "greenest cities" list so what gives? Maybe another person who sees one small part of town and then makes out like whole area is same way or maybe another who hasn't lived there a full year yet and has no clue about seasons?

Maybe you are confusing this with some other city because what you are saying makes almost no sense at all. I have been to and through CC at various times of the year. Maybe you need your vision checked or to actually go further than your yard.

For Jon: The term "greenest cities" means governments and planners who tend to respect nature and enact conservation measures (i.e. typically not Republican-controlled). It doesn't mean physically green, as in not arid.
